World Heritage Festivals

In conjunction with World Heritage Day,   on April 18 each year, the Department of Antiquities and Museums celebrated the word Heritage Festival in the presence of a number of directors of government departments,   and heads of private heritage assosiations and  museums in Ras Al Khaimah.
The ceremony included a number of folklore of other countries such as the Palestinian folklore, Jordanian folklore, Egyptian folklore, Indian folklore and Pakistani folklore, as well as local folklore such as Ayyala, Yulh, Nedabah, Alazi,  , which were performed by a number of heritage societies  and association  
The ceremony also included the announcement of the winners of the best world heritage   costume, where Ms. Parvati Jian from India won the best traditional costume for the adult and   and Widean Hassan from the UAE with the best traditional costume for the Kids
A number of individuals and government  participated in the presentation of traditional handicrafts and live performances of the characters reflecting the heritage
